Designed with traditional Guatemalan Huipil. These face masks upcycle embroidered blouses worn by indigenous women in Guatemala - specific designs that differ from each region.
Each fabric was woven on a backstrap loom and are heavily decorated with designs woven into the fabric with heavy embroidering. We see these as a way to celebrate a rich world and express your own creativity, even if distance has come between us.
Color selection is of the primary color used for the edging, reflective of the dominant color of its respective design. Each mask is unique.

Natural colorants and stabilizers consisting of plants such as aloe, black capote, old fustic, indigo, beets, seeds and banana leaf.
Masks can be washed on gentle cycle with mild detergent and air dried.
