How it's Made
Handmade on a backstop loom. Artisans dye the yarns and align them into beautiful patterns before weaving. These women specialize in backstop woven textiles featuring traditional Ikat designs created using natural dyes.
Natural colorants and stabilizers consisting of plants such as aloe, black capote, old fustic, indigo, beets, seeds and banana leaf.
Fabrics can be washed on gentle cycle with mild detergent and air dried.
